Authenticity Commitment/5
Last update: Aug 1, 2023

copit take pride in being the most reliable platform for luxury leather goods and beyond. On our platform, we only offer and allow authentic, high-quality, and sustainable products from pre-vetted sources, including top boutiques and wholesalers, consignors, and brand partners worldwide.

To ensure that you receive only the best and authentic products, our team employs various verification measures such as digital authentication, in-hand inspection, and machine learning technology. We have gathered a wealth of data points on all our products to evaluate their authenticity and quality, and our authentication specialists receive mandatory training to inspect every detail, from the material to the labels, stitches, textures, fonts, colors, and more.

In the unlikely event, if your purchase is found to be inauthentic or not as described within 3 days from the date you received the item(s), we will do our best to locate the same item from a different seller (even if we must pay the difference). If we cannot find a replacement, we will inform you during the verification process and give you a full refund for your order.

For purchase(s) where the item(s) shipped directly from one of our partners or sellers, please report any issue through copit customer service request or copit Help feature on your order page. If we determine that your item is inauthentic or does not match the listing, we will process your request in accordance with our Buyer Protection Policy.

We are committed to creating a trustworthy platform for luxury enthusiasts, and we hope that our authenticity only commitment policy will give you peace of mind as you shop with us.

Except for any consigned and ReLIFEd items, which are within our possession, other items will generally take up to 20 business days to be delivered to buyer(s) in Canada and US (this ETA depends on the original location of the item(s), how quickly the Seller ships the item to us or to you, and how quickly the package gets out of custom). Fortunately, we keep an eye out for this and constantly provide you with updates.

TAXES & CUSTOM CLEARANCE (click here for full version about taxes and duty):

Canada
For orders shipped within Canada, federal and provincial sales taxes will be calculated and collected upon checkout.

United States
For order(s) below $800 USD (roughly 1000 CAD), residents of United States are usually not required to pay any additional taxes. However, we must declare the exact amount paid on your order(s).

International
Tax and duty might be collected by the local custom of your jurisdiction. We may offer an estimate from our experience or from a network of logistics partners, but this is not a guarantee.

RETURNS
As copit wish for nothing but your utmost satisfaction, we accept returns on most items in the same condition that have been shipped to you. However, we do not accept returns or exchanges or refunds on any items stated as "Final Sale" (e.g., Custom, Personalized, Sample, Pre-Release).

In our sole discretion, copit may not issue refunds, or accept returns and exchanges for any order(s) shipped to freight forwarders and then returned to us from different addresses, especially addresses in a different country from the originally submitted information. All order(s) of such items are FINAL SALE.

If any items in your order are qualified for return, you have 3 days to request a replacement or a return from the date you received the order. To initiate this request, simply tap “Return” next to the targeted order in the dashboard of ‘My Order’. Once we have received your return, any items will be evaluated before your refund is made. You can read the full version here for our criteria for any qualified returns.
This Selling Policy is effective from Aug 1, 2023 (click here for full version).

FOR CONSIGNORS & SELLERS
To ensure your safety, merchandise authenticity, and our prideful standard, we only allow a select group of more autonomous sellers, but everyone can consign. We encourage you to submit a request with pictures and item description through our Sell tab on the web app and filling out the required information. It’s no brainer as we’ll guide you along the way.

HOW DO I CONSIGN OR SELL FROM OUTSIDE UNITED STATES AND CANADA?
We welcome consignors across the world. We have a global network of shipping agents to receive your items from different zones of the world. For direct selling, you must contact us.

CONSIGNING & LISTING
Through the ‘Sell w/ us’ tab, everybody can consign or sell an item in a few easy steps. It’s very important to include as many clear pictures as possible, usually: front, back, sides, inner tags, and care labels of an item. In addition, you must disclose any existing flaws and alterations so we can help you sell your item(s) swiftly.

HOW DO I EDIT MY LISTING(S)?Tap the ‘My Selling’ tab in your account, then choose a listing that you’d like to edit. While not all options can be altered without a proper reason, please make sure to save your changes.

MY ITEMS GOT SOLD. WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
If the items have been consigned with us, copit will take care of the handling, shipping, including the returning or dispute and fight on your behalf.

If it’s a direct sale, we will then send you a prepaid, pre-addressed shipping label so that you can pack and ship out the item ASAP. Each label has a tracking number associated with the order for you and everyone else to track.

Last update: Aug 1, 2023. All fees are listed in CAD or USD, unless otherwise stated (click here for full version).

SERVICE FEE > BUYERS
As copit strike for a safe and joyous experience of luxury shopping, we need to charge a service fee of 10% plus any applicable GST/HST/VAT/Sales Tax, to ensure the authenticity and quality of all merchandises.

To avoid confusion, this service fee will be clearly displayed in the checkout process, so you can see the total cost of your transaction.

In the event of a return or cancellation of the purchase, this fee is partially refundable, minus 3% that partly cover any transactional associated costs while the rest will go toward the effort of the item’s owner – users who are consignors or sellers on copit, in a form of selling fee reduction.

LABEL FEE > CONSIGNORS & SELLERS
Please note: The standard label fee of C$15 plus applicable /GST/HST/VAT/, or Sales Tax may increase depending on your item’s location and the address registered on your account (this will be used as the return address unless stated otherwise by the account holder).

Consignors, including consignors of the ReLIFE™ program are not required to pay any label fees until their items have been successfully sold, or upon their request to remove their items from copit, and to be shipped back to the original Consignors.

At the moment, direct selling from outside of Canada and the United States is only available to select sellers.

COMMISSION FEE > CONSIGNORS & SELLERS
We want to let you know that listing item(s) for interest is always free on our platform. Yet for copit to maintain an excellent service and normal business operation, we need to charge a commission fee -- kicked in only when your item(s) has been successfully purchased by a buyer. The commission fee is calculated the lowest at 10% of the listing price, plus a standard label fee. Please note that the commission fee will be deducted from the listing price you set.

If you want to cancel an order, please be aware that this may result in a higher commission fee. As a new seller, your seller rating will start at 75 and the minimum commission fee will be 10% plus the label fee.

Please also note that your seller rating can impact your commission fee. If you cancel an order, 10 points will be deducted from your seller rating. However, for each successful sale, 1 point will be added to your seller rating. And you can accumulate upward to 1000 points over time.

Here is a breakdown of the commission fees based on sellers’ & consignors’ performance:
- 90-1000 points: 10% commission fee + label fee
- 80-89 points: 15% commission fee + label fee
- 70-79 points: 20% commission fee + label fee
- 60-69 points: 40% commission fee + label fee

FOR ReLIFE CONSIGNORS
A commission fee is only charged when an item sold through copit ReLIFE™ program as below:
- 55% on any ReLIFE™ item(s) sold below or equal to, </= C$880;
- 50% on any ReLIFE™ item(s) sold for more than, > C$880.

This commission fee includes any labor costs for spa treatment, repair, and restoration, and several shipping costs, for which may cost over hundreds of dollars.

At copit, we’re serious about contributing to a sustainably vertical future, thus you may earn an additional 10-15% by opting in for in-store credits to fund any future purchases. Our in-store credits will never expire as long as we’re in business.

At copit, we strongly believe that repairing any items, whenever possible, is not only the best way to extend their useful life cycle, but also helps them get sold faster for more. It’s how a repair-to-resale service called ReLIFE™ was born. By participating in copit ReLIFE™, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Providing us photos and description as clear and truthful as possible, including any flaws and alternations is the best way for our in-house experts, craftsmen, and seamstresses to evaluate if we could successfully ‘rework’ your precious items to their former glory.

QUALIFIED ITEMS:
If we determine that your items are eligible for ReLIFEing, we will reach out to let you know. We may also offer a rough estimate of how much your item(s) could sell for after being reworked. If you choose to participate, we will send you a prepaid shipping label, which will be available for download on your copit account and also sent to you via email.

It's important to note that the label will expire after a certain amount of time, so please send your item(s) to us promptly. If the label does expire, please contact us so we could issue you a new one.

COMMISSION:
A commission fee is only charged when an item sold through copit ReLIFE™ program. For items sold for 880 CAD and below, the commission fee is 55% and for items having higher sold price, the commission fee is 50%.

The commission fee includes any labor costs for spa treatment, repair, and restoration, and several shipping costs, for which may cost over hundreds of dollars. Funds earned from selling items on copit can be deposited to your bank account through ACH direct deposit, cheque issuing, or payment sent to your PayPal account.

At copit, we’re serious about contributing to a sustainably vertical future, thus you may earn an additional 10-15% by opting in for in-store credits to fund any future purchases. Our in-store credits will never expire as long as we’re in business.

WHEN DO I GET PAID?
